Apostate Scholar
What is the definition of Islam? | Apostate Scholar's Honest Khutbah
This video attempts to show the current definitions we have. The set criteria and the assumptions about what Islam truly entails are all secondary sources. They are the opinions of scholars throughout the centuries in Islamic jurisprudence across varying schools.
These secondary sources, when analysed through a more critical lens, provide little to no coherence between them. They also rely on their opinions and own interpretations of the texts, such that we have no definitive set definition with its details explaining the words that were later invented to show who actually is correct and who isn't.
Therefore, the only marker of correctness would be who is in power.
